MENTORING QUESTIONNAIRE

Thank you for agreeing to take part in this research project on Mentoring. It is a joint project on management between Brunel University (UK), the École des Mines (France), and the University of Bradford (UK). The questionnaire focuses on your own experience of being Mentored and the interactions you had with your Mentor. We ask you to identify the Mentor who has had the most influence on you and your career. This Mentoring relationship could be from some time ago, recently and could still be ongoing. We then ask you to complete a detailed online questionnaire where you will be asked several questions about your relationship with your identified Mentor, what you gained from this relationship and whether the influence this Mentor had on you, still persists.

The questionnaire is divided into 4 parts:

1. A focus on your background.

2. The Mentoring context.

3. Your relationship with your Mentor.

4. Benefits you believe you have gained from your Mentoring experience(s).

Your participation is most valuable as it will assist us with our training and development of managers and professionals at the three universities. We also hope that it will help you to identify the benefits that you have gained and possible career related advancements, due to Mentoring. We anticipate it will take approximately 15 minutes of your valuable time to complete the questionnaire and, again, thank you sincerely for your help and co-operation.
